A parent who saw a group of school girls drinking vodka on
Friday night in Auckland, New Zealand has reported the incident to school
authorities.
About seven girls from Epsom Girls’ Grammar school, who are
believed to be school prefects, were seen drinking alcohol at a local joint on
Friday night.
The school principal, Madeline Gunn said she was aware of
the incident, which is currently under investigation, and promised that a conclusion
will be reached soon.
The parent who spoke to journalists about the incident said
she is concerned about the behaviour of the girls, and feels that the school is
not doing enough to discipline misbehaving kids. She is afraid her daughter
might be influenced in a negative way by the errant kids.
“I think it’s a crying shame that a
school of that calibre is letting them carry on” She said.
Epsom High school is a top girls school in Auckland city,
and she thinks such incidences should not be expected from them.
